You can also open, copy, and delete existing common groups.
Common field groups associate a group of work item fields with a user-defined work item rule so that you can use this group of fields across multiple work items. You cannot use common field groups on standard work items. See Common Field Groups.
Search for: The value that you want to search for.
XTRAC searches the column that you specify in the in Column drop-down list box to find this value.
Column: A list of all of the columns in the open summary window.
XTRAC searches this column to find the value that you specify in the Search for field.
Name: The name of the common field group (up to 30 characters).
Description: Additional information about the common field group (up to 60 characters).
Search: Searches for the value that you entered in the Search for field and in the column that you selected from the In Column drop-down list box. When the value is found, XTRAC selects it in the list.
New: Opens the Common Field Group Detail window where you can create a new common field group.
Copy: Creates a new common field group that is a copy of an existing one. The copy is opened in the Common Field Group Detail window where you can rename it.
Open: Opens the selected group in the Common Field Group Detail window.
You can also double-click a common field group in the summary window to open it.
Delete: Marks the selected item for deletion.
Items that are marked for deletion are deleted during the nightly batch cycle (after you resolve any dependencies).
Close: Closes this window.
If you made changes in the window and have not yet clicked Save, a warning displays that all of your changes will be lost. Click Yes to close the window and discard any changes. Click No to return to the window so you can save any changes.
