Hyperlink Rule Detail (Action Tab)

Specifies the action that is performed when the conditions match a hyperlink rule. See Creating a Hyperlink Custom Field.

Fields

Description: A description of the rule (up to 60 characters).

Owner: The node that the rule is associated with.

Event: The type of event that triggers this rule. Because there is only one possible trigger event, XTRAC selects the HL Hyperlink event by default.

Default Rule: The default hyperlink rule that XTRAC invokes when the trigger event occurs, if no other hyperlink rule applies.

Window Name: The name for the window that XTRAC opens when the operator clicks the hyperlink in XTRAC Workbench. This name prevents multiple windows from opening when a hyperlink is clicked multiple times.

URL: The URL to link to the window name. The URL is a separate component that you must define before creating a hyperlink.

Note: If you want http:// included in the URL, prompt the user to enter those characters in the hyperlink field.

Parameters: Any text that is needed for the hyperlink besides the URL.

For example, if the hyperlink text (after the URL) is ?WOSID=1234&CCN=2233, the values 1234 and 2233 are from XTRAC fields. In XTRAC Workbench, when the operator clicks the hyperlink field, XTRAC adds the parameters to the base URL. The expanded URL can then be used in a browser.

Change Request ID: The ID of the request to create or modify this XTRAC record (up to 30 characters).

Memo: The reason why this XTRAC record was created or modified (up to 60 characters).

Buttons

Remove: Removes the selected parameters.

History: Displays the history of the component, including the following details:

Admin group of the operator that created or updated the component.
Date and time of the creation or update.
Event that occurred.
ID of the operator.
IP address and machine name of the machine where the change was made.
Change Request ID and Memo explaining why the component was created or updated.

Save: Saves the changes that you made in this window.

Close: Closes this window.

If you made changes in the window and have not yet clicked Save, a warning displays that all of your changes will be lost. Click Yes to close the window and discard any changes. Click No to return to the window so you can save any changes.
