Internal Message Template Detail

Use this window to define or modify internal message templates. See Internal Message Templates .

Fields

Name: A unique name that identifies the internal message template (up to 30 characters).

Note: Do not use an asterisk (*) as part of the template name.

Correspondence Type: The correspondence type to which you assigned the internal message template.

Note: The combination of template name and correspondence type must be unique.

Description: Additional information about the internal message template (up to 60 characters).

Default Memo: Text that XTRAC displays on the History and Correspondence tabs on the work item window when an operator submits this internal message (up to 60 characters).

Marked for Delete: If unchecked, the item is active. If checked, marks the item for deletion.

XTRAC deletes the item during the nightly batch cycle after there are no dependencies. Selecting an item and clicking Delete on the summary window also marks the item for deletion. Before the delete occurs, you can uncheck this option if you change your mind.

Note: The Marked for Delete check box is available only after an item is created.

Route Internal Message To: An operator’s personal queue or a generic work queue that receives the message. This queue automatically displays as the default destination when an operator uses this template.

Protect Destination: If selected, an operator cannot change the destination indicated in the Route Internal Message To field. If not selected, an operator can change the destination.

Update Status To: The status of the associated work item after an operator submits the internal message. By default, no update occurs.

This field applies only to internal messages that are generated by operators. If a correspondence generation rule uses this template, the status in the rule overrides this field.
