Search Document Widget

This widget allows you to search for and retrieve specific documents that are attached to a work item or stored in the document repository, or search text within an annotation.

You can search for an existing document attachment based on the following search criteria:

• Document title
• Owner's last name

You can also search for a document using additional search criteria by using the Basic Search or Full Text Search links.

Tasks

Search for a Document

To search for a document:

1.

Enter the document title or owner's last name or both in the applicable fields.

2.

Click Search. The search document results open in the Work Area view.

Open a Basic Search

To open a basic search (Search Criteria – Basic Search page) in the Work Area view:

• Click the Basic Search link in the bottom left corner.

Open a Full Text Search

To open a full text search (Full Text Search page) in the Work Area view:

• Click the Full Text Search link in the bottom left corner.

Fields

Document Title: The title of the document.

Document Title is a metadata field.

Owner Last Name: The last name of the owner of the document.

Owner Last Name is a metadata field.

Buttons and Links

Button	Description
	Initiates the search using the specified criteria. When XTRAC completes the search, the results are displayed. The Search Criteria displays the fields involved in the search, and Full Text Search displays the text involved in the search.
	Opens the Search Criteria page in the Work Area view.
	Opens the Full Text Search page in the Work Area view.
