Example Message Definitions

On this page you can search for checked in executable processes to download and view the schema of message start events.

Search for a Process

1.   In the Model Name text box, enter a model name.

Note: The name you enter in the Model Name field must match exactly the name that was given to the process when it was created. The discovery function does not accept wild card characters in searches. Also, the name you enter must be case-sensitive. If the name you type does not match the case or is not spelled correctly, the search will not return any results.

2.   In the Version text box, enter the specific version you want to view.
3.   Click Search.

The message start events are listed in the Message Start Events field as shown below.

4.   Click Example JSON or Example XML to view the event's schema in JSON or XML format.

The message event schema is opened in a text editor. The file name is based on the MessageID and the format you selected.

For example, if you click Example JSON for the getValue1 message event in the image above, the schema file name would be PID895B8ACEC920E8667647F72A5A9DAF64-JSON.txt.

5.   You can copy and paste the message start event's schema into a test automation tool, such as soapUI, to ensure that the process works properly before attempting to deploy it into your environment.
