Dynamic Field Rule Detail (Condition Tab)

Defines the conditions that must be true before XTRAC applies the dynamic field rule.

This window is accessed by clicking the Dynamic Field Rule tab on a Common Field Group Detail window.

Fields

Name: A string of up to 30 characters that provides the unique name of the rule.

After you save, you cannot modify the name.

Description: A description of the rule (up to 60 characters).

Fields: A list of predefined and custom fields that are available to define the rule condition.

The fields that you select specify the work item fields that must match the specified condition for the rule to fire. See Predefined Fields and Available Criteria and Custom Fields.

The fields listed here are the fields used to define the work item rule for the subtype selected from the v !@# drop-down list box.

Note: The Item Type, Description, and Memo fields are not available for building a condition.

Field Description: The description of the available field.

Condition: The conditions that cause the rule to fire.

For example, you can create a condition that reads as follows:

Escalate=Yes

By dragging fields to an existing field in the tree, you can group the conditions. You specify whether the field in the group uses AND or OR to create the condition. For example, Client=Bank of America AND Escalate=Yes.

Change Request ID: The ID of the request to create or modify this XTRAC record (up to 30 characters).

Memo: The reason why this XTRAC record was created or modified (up to 60 characters).

Buttons

Add: Opens the Condition Detail window (after you select a field from the Fields list). You use this window to defined the criteria and value for the selected field.

Remove: Removes the selected item from the list.

Clear: Removes all fields from the Conditions tree.

History: Displays the history of the component, including the following details:

Save: Saves the changes that you made in this window.

Close: Closes this window.

If you made changes in the window and have not yet clicked Save, a warning displays that all of your changes will be lost. Click Yes to close the window and discard any changes. Click No to return to the window so you can save any changes.
