Using Work Feed Mode

Using Work Feed Mode

Your entitlement set may allow you to work in work feed mode, work list mode, or both. When working in work feed mode, the next work item in your queue automatically opens when you close the work item you are currently working on. When working in work list mode, you can scroll through a list of work items and manually select which work items to work on. For information about work list mode, see Work Lists.

If you can work in work feed mode, your entitlement set also specifies the following:

If you were not given the option to work in work feed mode, XTRAC hides access to the work feed feature.

If you can use work feed mode, your entitlement set also specifies which of the following types of work feed is used when you access work feed mode:

Work items appear in the order specified by the XTRAC administrator based on priority, entry date, and work item number; however, recently resumed work items take precedence and are fed before other higher priority items. Your XTRAC administrator may also define work selection rules that control the order in which work items appear.

In work feed mode, when you save a work item, XTRAC displays the next work item to be processed. XTRAC continues this process until you complete all work.

If you close a work item without processing it or the work item is not transferred out of your work feed queue, it will reappear when you or another operator next access work in work feed mode from that queue.

Note: XTRAC feeds in-process work items only; it does not feed pending or resolved work items.
