Copy Work Items
If you have the appropriate privileges, you can make a copy of an existing work item.
The following rules apply when copying a work item:
- If the item type being copied exists at the current node, the copied work item uses the work item rule for the item type at the current node.
- If the item type being copied does not exist at the current node, XTRAC uses the work item rule of the copied work item and displays an empty Item Type field. You must select an item type that exists at the current node.
When you copy a work item, XTRAC copies data from the General, Parties, and Attachments pages. XTRAC does not copy notes, history, or linked items associated with the work item.
To copy a work item:
1. | Open the work item you want to copy. |
2. | At the top right-hand corner of the page, click ![]() |
3. | From the drop-down menu, select ![]() |
4. | Select an item type and subtype, or use the same type and subtype from the original work item, and then click Copy Work Item. |
The work item opens in the Copy Work Item page.
5. | On the Copy Work Item page, modify the work item's fields as needed. |
6. | Click Save. |
XTRAC assigns the work item a unique work item number and adds it to the selected queue.
